Open two-stage design competition for opting the most professionally appropriate solution for: THE EXTENSION WORK TO THE INFECTION CLINIC University medical centre Ljubljana (The extension building to the Clinic for infectious diseases and febrile illnesses in the University medical center Ljubljana)

The subject of the design competition:
The essential subject of the competition is the functional - technological, architectural, constructional, technical and fire protection design of the extension to the existing building and the arrangement of the surroundings of the building, taking into account the connections to the public service infrastructure. In addition, part of the program will be located in the existing facility, where a comprehensive reconstruction will be required, or smaller parts of the program will be located in the existing facility so that only minor interventions will be required within the limitation of maintenance and investment works.
It is also important the treatment of the joints of the new building with the existing one, where it will be necessary to reconstruct a part of the existing building, but at the same time maintain the functionality of hospital wards, which do not change radically in the existing building. All the above works will have to be logically and financially justified connected with the interventions when they will be necessary due to the energy renovation of the existing facility.
The extension will enable the connection with the existing facility and envisage the expansion of the Clinic for infectious diseases and fever conditions (KIBVS) in the second construction phase. The subject of the competition is also the conceptual design of the 2nd construction phase of KIBVS development, whereby part of the programs installed in the existing facility is moved to a new extension in the 2nd phase (depending on the placement of the required program in the new or existing part).
The new facility will be connected to the diagnostic therapeutic service (DTS) underground tunnel, where it is necessary to maintain the connection of the tunnel to the existing Gastroenterology Clinic. The subject of external arrangement is green and traffic areas and interventions in infrastructural lines. In the competition, it is necessary to design driveways (visitors, taxies, emergency, deliveries, import to the basement…) and accesses for external users, visitors, patients, employees.

Submission of the competition tender documentation, 2nd stage: 2. 9. 2021.

Šentvid Secondary School and gymnasium of Šentvid Primary School

Public, design, one-stage contest for the selection of the most technically appropriate solution for: NEW CONSTRUCTION OF ŠENTVID SECONDARY SCHOOL AND GYMNASIUM OF ŠENTVID PRIMARY SCHOOL SUBJECT OF DESIGN CONTEST

Subject of the design competition:
Design of the Šentvid Secondary School and Šentvid Primary School complex, which includes a new secondary school building, a new primary school gymnasium building, the existing lamella of the primary school building, the existing Šentvid Secondary School sports hall, and associated outdoor public and sports areas. The new construction of the Šentvid Secondary School and the Šentvid Primary School gymnasium is projected with net surface areas of 4,891 m2 and 2,216 m2, respectively. The four existing buildings in the north-western part of the square are to be demolished, while preserving the architecturally high-quality building lamella in the south-east. No developments of the lamella are planned as part of the design contest. An integral part of the complex is also the sports hall of the Šentvid Secondary School, which is also not included in any development plan, except for a possible construction of a connecting corridor between the existing hall and the new secondary school building. In addition to the new buildings, it is necessary to provide pupils and students with a safe path to the school, to arrange common outdoor sports areas, the entrance platform/courtyard of the Šentvid Secondary School, as well as sufficient and properly located parking areas for the needs of both programmes.
